A Korean study suggested that pumpkin seed oil acts as a DHT blocker, thereby preventing the miniaturization of hair follicles caused by this testosterone byproduct. Pumpkin seeds are rich in beta-sitosterol, an alpha-reductase inhibitor that prevents testosterone from converting to DHT. Additionally, pumpkin seeds contain a group of compounds called delta-7-sterols, which bind to receptors in hair follicles and help block damage caused by DHT. So what exactly is DHT?
